Thallus saxicolous, areolate, cephalodiate; photobiont cells trebouxioid, arranged anticlinally to the surface; apothecia immersed, immarginate, plane or slightly convex; ascospores halonate when young, greenish black when mature, 60-70 X 30-35µm; pycnidia immersed; conidia fusiform, 5 X 1µm.
