Notes:
Large rhizomatous herb, smelling of ginger when bruised. Leaf sheath with red patch at junction of blade. Inflorescence erect, the occasional seed said to be set. Plant grown on from clump represented by CHR 227581 (Esler 3683).Flowers very fragrant. Bracts green. Corolla tube creamy yellow, very slender, c. 6 cm long; lobes c. 3.3 cm long, greenish-yellow, subulate.Lateral staminodia c. 3.5 × 1.3 cm, pale creamy yellow, oblanceolate. Labellum at right angles to lateral staminodia, c. 3.2 × 3.2 cm, broadly obovate, apex obtuse, the point in middle of depression, same colour as other staminodes. Fertile stamen orange-red; anther c. 1cm long; filament c. 4cm long.
