Notes:
Strongly rhizomatous plant; all developed from young plant potted. Sent 1989. Rhizomes white, stout, with dark reddish sheaths, basal stem sheaths also dark reddish (at first). Glumes purple or greenish purple. Anthers dark purplish-red. Stigmas white or purplish.
