Habitat:
Willow fringe to lake - almost the dominant species covering majority of surrounding Juncus swamp.
Becoming an aggressive pest along all fertile wetlands, rivers, streams and lakes in the greater Waikato. Has increased rapidly since first noted along Waipa river by Waikato Botanists in 1985.
