Notes:
Arborescent plant with very stout woody trunk c.1.5 m high. Leaves spreading and curving downwards i.e. palm-like; pinnae very coriaceous, dark glossy green above, revolute. Female sporophylls completely lanate, fawn. Seeds 1.5-2.5 x 1.3-2 cm, laterally compressed with retuse apex, orange. Very commonly cultivated.
