Cultivated in fairly open site.
Notes:
Small young tree 6-8m high. Bark rough and fissured but soft and pale brown beneath surface. Shoots deep brown. Buds subglobose or broad-ellipsoid. Leaves tending 2-ranked,deep glossy green above, pale green below. When pulled off leaving a flat +/-circular scar.
