Notes:
Single, large multistemmed plant, ± 1m tall. Plant atypical of species Corymbs large, open (SheetA). Pedicels appressed, woolly, pubescent. Capitula ± 2.5cm diameter. Phyllaries 4.5mm, margins thin edged. Apices brown to black to purplish-black; scattered short phyllaries basally, and as bracts down pedicels. Ray florest-limb 9-5 to 10 mm long, ± 2 mm broad near middle, often U shaped and appear very narrow: apices 3-toothed often faint of ± entire, 3-5-nerved. Ray floret achenes larger, glabrous. Disc floret achenes small with scattered short pubescence. Introduced to site by wind or more likely on vehicles or bulldozers.
