Habitat:
Open pocket near margin of scrub.
Notes:
Small (young) tree c.8m high. Bark grey, flaking red, red-purple below, [coll.]. Shootsbrown. Buds brown; scales tightly appressed, +/- resinous. Foliage dark green, typical "radiata" scent. Cones 14-16cm long, very enlarged umbos on dorsal side of cones prickly; otherwise tree a typical Pinus radiata
