Pendulous branch parasite forming a rounded mass of short more or less fusiform stems, many of which are dead towards the middle. Common on this oak tree. Also on others of this species in the area. Proliferation growth due to midge or mite attack. Appendages of growth appearing similar to the vegetative body of a member of the Viscaceae. Oak leaves glaucescent below, shining deep green above.
