Stream bank amidst tall crack willows.
Notes:
Small tree 4-5 m high with branches becoming pendulous with heavy crop of fruit. Bark dark [coll]. Young shoots petioles and young leaves reddish-brown or pink, but pith not coloured. Adult leaves brownish-red beneath. Fruit 2.4-2.9 x 2.3 cm, subglobose, pinkish-red with orange-red flesh (not completely ripe), longitudinal groove only marked by a dark line. This form is scattered in the area and not as common as the yellow-fruited one.
