Habitat:
Hillside in partly sheltered depression facing south near homestead ruins. Margin of rowan forest.
Notes:
Shrub around l metre high; branches erect. Specimens of fruits from several plants, 1.5-2.5 x 1.5-2 cm. subglobose to broad oblong ellipsoid, becoming sweet, yellow or dark red, glabrous or bristly. The dominant understorey shrub in the rowan forest but concentrated around the margins.
