Subshrub with diffuse and twisted branching system; stems to c. 50 cm high and c. 1.7 cm diam. Leaves to 5 x 2 cm, ± oblanceolate, c. 3mm thick, ± upturned towards apex; upper margins +/- brownish-red, apex subacute. Locally abundant.
