Among short grasses and subalpine scrub at edge of forest on old moraine damming lake in hanging valley.
Notes:
Locally common, some plants in open forest nearby alongside track; flowers scarcely open on raining day. If this is G. matthewsii; supposed to be similar to G. grisebachii, then yes there is a similarity. Both grow in shore sedge and grassland. Both shy to open flowers.
