Habitat:
On margin of indigenous forest remnant.
Notes:
Shrub, soft wooded, to c. 2.5m high. Leaves on vegetative shoots with petiole 7-8cm long; lamina to 33 (incl. apical cusp) × 15 cm. Infl. pendulous. Hypanthium c. 5.5cm long, gradually amplicate, pale pink. Sepals c.2cm long, incl. apical apiculus, ± narrow triangular, pink, eventually reflexed. Petals c. 1.3cm long, ± elliptic, bright red.
