Erect herbs. Leaves sometimes infected with rust. Flowers rosy purple or reddish-purple; palate often tinged orange or yellow; upper lip som[e]times white towards base,corolla 4-4.5cm long to apex of upper lip; tube held ± erect; lobes of upper lip c.2cm long;lobes of lower lip 8-10mm long, rounded and often broader than long, pouch inflated and closing mouth.A number of plants.
