Notes:
Tree about 8m with several trunks. Bark smooth and grey. Young leaves reddish-brown. Mature leaves subcoriaceous, dark shining green above. Old leaves deep red. Petioles purple. Petals ground, greenish, about 1.5m long, more or less broad ellipsoid. One tree. Probably from same source as Sykes 297/61, from the Christchurch Botanic Gardens. Sheets A - G.
