Open site on rock wall. Cultivation relic.
Notes:
Stems +/- decumbent; lower part rooting at nodes. Lvs densely arranged on upturned part of shoots, often forward pointing, to 12 mm long, 2-2.5 mm wide 1-1.5mm thick, glaucous, rounded above and below, linear-subulate, apex acute. Infl. mostly 20-26 cm high, erect; main stem pinkish. Bracts larger than ordinary lvs, green. Fls in ± scorpoid racemes, forming a ± corymbose head 3-5 cm across. Sepals 2-2.7 x c. 1.7cm, triangular-ovate, green, slightly unequal, somewhat concave, acute. Petals 5-6 × 1.8-2 mm, elliptic, yellow, ± grooved down middle. Stamens 4.5-6mm, yellow; filaments hairy towards base; anthers c.1.5mm long. Carpels greenish-yellow; styles c. 1.5mm. Glands 0.3-0.4 × 0.5-0.6 mm, ± rectangular, white; truncate apex.
