Habitat:
Damp alluvial flood plain below closed forest remnant.
Notes:
On ridge separating Spirits Bay and Parengaparenga [Parengarenga] catchments, in mouth of side gully. From 1 of 3 small trees (4.5mx30cm dbh.). On open alluvial floodplain- established epiphytically on trunks of Cyathea medullaris. Host since dead. Immediately below large (25m × 80 cm d.b.h.) parent tree on forest edge. Pale whitish flaking bark.
