Notes:
Erigeron sp.? a tall strict plant growing 1-5 ft at least and perhaps taller, a few stray specimens have been seen growing about Auckland in dry open places, always in association with Erigeron canadense & Erigeron linifolius or where there were at least a few of both species, which led me to think it might be a hybrid; but a few days ago I found it growing plentifully in a small grassy valley behind Wattle Bay, Manukau Harbour, as well as in grassy clearings in the bush for some distance along the shores of the harbour, generally in association with Erigeron canadense, which was plentiful, but I could see no Erigeron linifolius anywhere about. It appears to start flowering a very little later than E. canadense does here.

Supplementary remarks:
See CHR 4014 Erigeron bonariensis for note by AJ Healy, 29/4/1955 re collector. "Specimen undoubtedly collected by M. Hodgkins". This specimen is in the same format and appears to be part of the same collection.
