Habitat:
In clearing of main forest, lower northeast corner.
Notes:
Vegetation: grasses, low mahoe and kaikomako - surrounded by kohekohe forest. Part of a large non-flowering plant (stems up to 6m long). Plant eradicated. (3 plants of this species found on this visit to the Island: one flowering).
