Notes:
Shrub c.2m with erect stems arising from base. Shoots red, prominently striated beneath. Catkins 1.5-2cm. Bracts 3-2.5mm, brownish towards apex, oblong-obovate. Young leaves silvery beneath. Gland (1) 0.6-0.8mm, ± rectangular. Stock from a New Zealand wild source.
