Female. Small tree with rather smooth trunk. Habit erect branchelets thin and long. Leaves glaucous below, dark shinning green above. Catkins ± erect. Bracts c.2mm, elliptic, tending obovate, black except at base. Gland (1), 0.8-1mm, linear.
