Woody vine, climbing over vegetation, and up into trees; sterile as are all the rest so far seen, and all the Tongan say they never have seen it flower either; the roots are pounded, and used to kill fish on the reef, and more recently the Agriculture Dept. has decided the dust is effective as an insecticide though it is little use for this purpose.
