NOT A TYPE of Veronica pimeleoides Hook.f. var. rupestris Cockayne et Allan, Trans. & Proc. New Zealand Inst. 57: 39 (1926). Kellow et al., New Zealand J. Bot. 41(2): 242 (2003) state the Cockayne & Allan created superfluous and illegitimate name Veronica pimeleoides var. rupestris, by saying that Cheeseman's 1925 description of Veronica pimeleoides applies to their new variety. CHR 333994 is not referred to in any way.
