Type:
ISOTYPE or TYPE FRAGMENT of Haastia greenii Hook.f. in Kirk, Students' Fl. New Zealand: 296 (1899). Holotype at K.
Glenny D, 24 May 2005
Supplementary remarks:
Letter from D. Petrie attached to the sheet suggests that this is the specimen used by Hooker for his description. The only evidence against this is that the protologue states the collection was from 6,500 ft and this detail is missing from the Canterbury Museum label. The holotype is at Kew and is labelled " Mount Cook New Zealand Rev. W.S. Green 5/82" and determined holotype by J.M. Ward 1997 (pers. comm. A. George 24 May 2005).
Glenny D, 24 May 2005
