Specimen notes
Herbarium history:
Transferred from Canterbury Museum, Christchurch (CANTY) May 1975 [Index] 54. 7. 34. 1. [Canterbury Museum No] 595
Supplementary remarks:
This must be either type or "co-type" of V. obovata. There is a very similar piece at Kew that could well be part of the same plant.
L.B. Moore, 29.9.1958
Type:
Probable ISOLECTOTYPE of Veronica obovata Kirk, Trans. & Proc. New Zealand Inst. 9: 502 (1877). Lectotype chosen by Bayly MJ and Kellow AV 2004. This specimen lacks the Kirk number 685, so it is uncertain whether it is part of the type gathering.
Bayly MJ and Kellow AV, 27 May 2005
