Supplementary remarks:
"Probably a large form of J. holoschoenus. Flowers and rhizome required to determine exactly."
V.S.S. [Summerhayes VS] , Kew. , 21. X. 25
Type:
Probable STNTYPE of Juncus holoschoenus R.Br. var multiflorus Carse, Trans. & Proc. New Zealand Inst. 60: 305 (1929) since Carse in his protologue cites three localities. The protologue cites the annotation by V.S. Summerhayes on this sheet, so the specimen is certainly a type.
