In virgin kauri forest at end of forestry road.
Notes:
Growing with B.nigrum under a fallen tree on clay. Near by in damp litter Schistochilaappendiculata, S.robilis both with stems up to 20cm. This part of the forest is unusually rich in its bryophyte flora. (Unusually large specimens.)
