Hymenophyllum Armstrongii (Baker) Kirk (1878) = Trichomanes Armstrongii Barker (1868) = Hymenophyllum Cheesemanii Barker 1873. In Man. N.Z.Fl. 2nd Ed. (1925) 13. Cheeseman states that there is practically no difference between these two. Baker's name Armstrongii therefore, having five years priority, must stand.
