Transferred from Canterbury Museum, Christchurch (CANTY) May 1975. The Carse Herbarium, no.1359. Small tree 5.5m high. Since destroyed in clearing land. Leaves all apiculate. "The Coprosma - is a curious state, which I have seen in several localities and which is intermediate in several of its characters between Coprosma spathulata and Coprosma arborea. I have often thought it maybe a hybrid between the two," T.T.C. 6-Apr-1905.
