Transferred from Canterbury Museum Herbarium, (CANTY) May 1975
Herbarium history:
The Carse Herbarium No. 101/3
Supplementary remarks:
"...is your fern really con-specific with B. capense, a South African fern? B. capense is said to be distributed over the whole tropicals and Southern Temperate Zone, but I have little doubt that a comparative study based upon rich rich material will affirm my idea that several distinct species of more definite geographical range can be established. This being the case your fern should probably be named B. procerum (Forst)"
