Habitat:
On southeast side of valley above highest forest in valley floor.
Notes:
Some material grown on from cuttings. Flowers conspicuously pink, anthers deep purple, leaves greenish in shade, green and deep bronze on sunny sites. Plants growing as low shrubs on ledges on shistose bluffs between screes c.3200-3600 feet. Associated plants are Helichrysum selago and Celmisia philocremna.
