Notes:
This grass seems a member of a genus closely related to Stipa of which I can only remember that it has a 3 branched awn The enclosed was growing on dry parched rocky slopes , with a northerly aspect on Mt Maunganui. It did not appear common & tended to a branched, sprawling & scrambling habit. Unfortunalely I coud not get much which was better in the way of specimens, so if you desire it I will watch for better when flowering once more.
