Habitat:
Plantation of spaced trees.
Notes:
Tree c. 16 metres. Bark grey with smooth scales. Habit open & tree rather twisted, Buds shining brown, non resinous. Shoots thin and flexible. Cones in coll. Raised from seed ex California as this species.Specimen very atypical for this species but I cannot place it elsewhere.The regular (symmetrical) or nearly so cones and the not obviously resinous buds are not characters of this species.
