Supplementary remarks:
Coprosma macrocarpa Ross Michie sent 3 small plants from the Three Kings, one of which turned out to be ♂ and two ♀. These two set masses of fruit this year, for the first time, and were quite spectacular. Not only the fruit, but the foliage is most attractive, a vivid glossy green. The plants could be grown beside some pagan temple to symbolise well-being, they look so exuberant. They--at this stage--have a spreading habit 4' across and the same in height and very leafy. Rather frost tender, some lvs bleached white but branches not killed, by mild frost. Letter of N.Potts, 1 Feb. 1967
