Habitat:
In snow tussock at 2000 ft. altitude, Hebe odora, Cassinia vauvilliersii, Pernetta macrostigma and Coprosma spp.
Notes:
Female plant 5 ft. 7 ins. high, peduncle diameter at base 2 ins., length to first bract 18 in., followed by 23 ins. with about 28 sterile bracts followed by 26 ins. fertile. Male plant 4 ft. 7 ins. high, peduncle up to first bract 6 ins. followed by 7 sterile bracts. Three innermost leaves simple. Topotype. Sheets A to D.
