Habitat:
On humus patch over horizontal granite, in flood zone of stream; partly shaded by granite to north and overhanging Coprosma in subalpine scrub.
Notes:
Sterile. Habit comose, leaf border extremely wide (c. 10 cells or more) and pale. Apparently dioicous. Tubers not seen. Not referrable to any species in B. capillare complex described by Syed (1973) Allan Fife
