Notes:
This form appears to be similar to a diploid variety of the "procerum" group more common in the South Island. Under uniform conditions the plants remain very distinct from the tetraploid B.minor (R.Br.) ?. It is also distinct from B.procerum (Forst.) Labill. This plant approaches nearer to the B.capense (L.) Schlecht. than any of the other N.Z. varieties, T.C. Chambers, October 1954.
