Specimen notes
Public Note:
Material has a significant Aspergillus growth (2023). The cheilocystidia are present in fascicles on the lamella ege, and where present they have collapsed and difficult to discern, even with a rigorous squash. They are to 17um in diameter. The terminal elements of the pileipellis are obvious, and distinctly differentiated and clavate, like the cheilocystidia. This disagrees with the original description. Other material identified by Horak as C. dilutus has the same sequence as the type of C. rufidulus, also described without differentiated PP elements. Their absence requires confirmation. Using Horak's key this collection would be C. affinis.
