The Systematics Collections Data (SCD) website provides access to specimen and culture data from the Allan Herbarium (CHR), the International Collection of Microorganisms from Plants (ICMP), Te Kohinga Harakeke o Aotearoa – National New Zealand Flax Collection (FLAX), the New Zealand Arthropod Collection (NZAC) and the New Zealand Fungarium - Te Kohinga Hekaheka o Aotearoa (PDD).

The website was originally intended for researchers and workers who require access to 'unsanitised' collection data. However, it is hoped that other users may also benefit from accessing this data. The data are provided on the assumption that the user understands the limitations and appropriate use.

• The data are provided on an 'as is' and 'as available' basis.
• The data are presented as they have been recorded on the specimens and cultures.
• Some of the data may be inaccurate, incomplete or imprecise, including data about identifications and localities.
• Not all specimens or cultures held by a given collection have been entered into the database.

Using the SCD site you can currently:

• Access specimen and culture records from the collections;
• Access images associated with collection records;
• Download specimen data in simple text-file (CSV) and specimens examined formats (registered users only);
• Save specimens you select as sets that can be retrieved at a later time (registered users only);
• Submit requests to borrow specimens or purchase cultures (registered users only).
