Specimen notes
Public Note:
In sheep paddock
Public Note:
The material has crumbled significantly, and shows the signs of high-heat drying. A few lecyfiform cheilocystidia but most lageniform. 4 spored, with evidence (a few large spores) of 2 spored. Clamps not observed (although in the protologue description). Pileipellis with frequent cystidia, seemingly quite large, with brown plasmatic and membrane pigment, vesiculose and collapsing (not noted in protologue). Caulocystidia clumps not observed but a few lageniform cystidia present. Spores length=8.6–10.7µm (µ=9.9, σ=0.50), width=4.9–6.0µm (µ=5.4, σ=0.35), Q=1.7–2.1µm (µ=1.86, σ=0.14), n=20. Presumably Pholiotina. The collection site and habitat suggests this might be an introduction.
