[Cooper] Peridium shows red pigment in dried material. SV just pink reaction. Peridium with clear erect cystidia. Spores length=8.1–10.2µm (µ=8.9, σ=0.59), width=6.8–8.5µm (µ=7.6, σ=0.55), Q=1.1–1.3µm (µ=1.17, σ=0.05), n=20, ornamentation to 1um. Note that Lebel's image of tapawera is the same photo as rubrolutea. Images of the paratype Tr12615 are different,
