Public Note:
no smell. Spores inamyloid, not dextrinoid, 9x6um. Cystidia absent. See Redhead et al CJB 1994. This is Geoff's taxon, except this extends the range of size. I assume Geoff's description was based on a single fruitbody. Morphologically close to S. pearsonii. Sequences from both top and bottom of fruitbody are the same, and a squamanita near umbonata - a US Inocybe parasite. Phylogenetically close to Leucopaxillus and Laccaria, not Cystoderma re Matheney paper.
