dried black. the 'leaden sheen' not visible. Gills have basal interveining.spores amyloid, collapsing. 2 and 4 spored. Cap surface with obvious diverticulae. Gill edge brown with very fine diverticulae. clamped. spores length=5.8–7.2µm (µ=6.4, σ=0.42), width=3.1–4.0µm (µ=3.5, σ=0.28), Q=1.7–2.1µm (µ=1.85, σ=0.10), n=23. .
