The stromata are much smaller than the C. gunnii specimens in PDD. Stroma about 25 mm long, fertile head 7-10 mm long, stalk 1.5 mm wide, head 3 mm wide. This compares with a C. gunnii specimen from Australia (PDD 94758) with a stroma 60-130 x 7-10 mm. and a specimen from New Zealand (PDD 192) stroma 15-40 mm long, head 12-17 mm long, stalk 4-5 mm wide, head 7-10 mm wide
