Stipitate disc densely covered withdull purplish-brown, short, stiff hairs 90-100 x 3 µm; walls of hairs coarsely roughened. Excipular cells cylindric, 4-5 µm wide, thin-walled. Paraphyses sublanceolate, increasing in width to 3 µm near apex, then tapering gradually to rounded apex, extend 10-15 µm beyond asci; asci 45-50 x 5-5.5 µm, cylindric, apex more or less rounded, wall slightly thickened, J+, 8-spored, 1-2 overlapping seriate; ascospores 8-9 x 1.5-2 µm, short-cylindric, tapering lightly to rounded ends, same shape to both ends, slightly curved, 0-septate.
