Public Note:
dried cap appearing felty, fruitbody not blackening on drying, gill attachment sinuate to subdecurrent. Stem tissue dextrinoid, spores amyloid 7x4 cylindrical but very variable in shape (some pyramidal!), 4-spored, clamps not seen. Cap cells broad and subepidermis cells thick walled (looks dimitic, hyphae gelatinised cutis but actually broad cells with odd walls), pigment plasmatic. Although the colouration is plaer than Stevenson's protologue suggests I will treat this as C. grisella.
