Specimen notes
Public Note:
Disc to 5mm diam., broad-substipitate, when fresh slightly greenish dirty yellow, more or less glabrous although under binoc. with what appear to be appressed hair-like elements. Excip highly gelat textuira intricata, a resticted group of thin-walled, brown, nongelat free hyphae near base of stipe, and similar hyphae scattered in very poorly developed groups on sides of apothecium. Asci broadly rounded apex with small, poorly developed J+ plug in inner part of apical thickening; spores about 7.5-8 x 4-4.5 µm, ovate, 0-septate, hyaline.
Public Note:
In some ways recalls Helotiales sp. PDD 70096, but here spores a bit bigger and smooth walled; ascus apex with tiny amloid r4eaction just on the inner edge of the wall (strongly through whole wall in PDD 70096). Defintely not Bisporella
