Public Note:
[JAC] epithet from Pat's examination. Has amyloid spores, quite obvious en-masse. Stem smooth, drying silky. Without lamellulae. With decurrent tooth? Cap with fibrous scales, especially towards perimeter. Cap a an irregular loose cutis of broad (to 15um) clamped hyphae with brown plasmatic content over dense glassy-walled hyaline sub-cutis, of elements to 6um diam.. Cutis with erect elements, forming agglutinated tufts, with stronger plasmatic brown pigment and some external cracking pigment. Clamps clear. spores amyloid with small apiculus length=8.0-10.0µm (µ=9.0, σ=0.40), width=5.4-6.2µm (µ=6.0, σ=0.23), Q=1.4-1.6µm (µ=1.51, σ=0.06), n=20. Without cystidia. Some spores and basidia with refractive content, but not greatly pigmented (like P. amyloideum). 4-spored. Stipe of parallel dense thick walled hyphae, to 4um diam.
