Public Note:
This is the fibrillose end os the spectrum of L. masoniae. Purple when young but fading. Some gill edges brown. 4-spored. caulocystidia in bundles and associated with brown vesicles. Cap hypha with brown plasmatic content. Cheilocystidia (on sections of brown gill edge) also of brown vesicles. All clamped. 4-spored. length=7.3-8.4µm (µ=7.7, σ=0.31), width=7.0-8.2µm (µ=7.5, σ=0.31), Q=0.9-1.1µm (µ=1.03, σ=0.05), n=20, spines to 1.5um x 0.6 at base.
